WELCOME to the home of Newfoundland and Labrador's SUpport for People and Patient-Oriented Research and Trials (SUPPORT) Unit, a new methodological research support centre dedicated to realizing improved outcomes for all users of the healthcare system by fostering a culture of patient-oriented research that collaborates with patients to identify their needs, and responds to those identified priorities.
Housed in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University's main campus in St. John's, NL SUPPORT is a public-private partnership between many stakeholders with a vested interest in realizing the improved health outcomes promised by the Unit, including the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the government of Newfoundland and Labrador, IBM, and other provincial and federal agencies.
